Porcelain
Herend is a small town in Hungary best known for manufacturing their famous hand painted porcelain since 1826; the name becoming synonymous with the porcelain.
For their own designs ‘Herend’ took features from the designs of the famous factories when they were in their prime. For instance, Meissen and Frankenthal in the time of Frederic Augustus and Charles Theodore, and Sèvres in the age of Louis XV. This results in an original taste grounded in attractive elegance.
